HADITH:
From Uqbah ibn Amir R.A.; he asked Prophet Muhammad sallallahu alayhi wasallam, what is 'Naja' - how to survive or how to be saved?
Prophet: Don't say anything bad. (Use your tongue for remembrance of Allah, don't use foul language, don't slander, don't lie, etc)
During the time of fitnah, best to stay home. Stay with the mu'minis. Don't just go out with anybody, sit with anybody, talk to anybody; no; this isn't appropriate for the Muslims.
Think about your sins, cry to Allah ta'ala for forgiveness. This is an-Naja; this is the way to save yourself.
