What If did this, or that? - from el shaitan
Lau fa'alta jalik; lau-if.
If I did this (in the past), that would happen. Had we done so and so...
All these types of 'what ifs' are from shaitan. So, avoid such thoughts and talks. Whatever Allah has written in the "Lawh Al‑Mahfooz" (Book of Decree), will happen. Shaitan simply puts doubts in our hearts and creates confusion by making us think and utter all the 'what ifs', so that we waste time in regrets.
A well known scholar Ashraf Ali Thanvi (r.a.) said that, if you committed some sins, make tauba and istegfar and get over it and keep going forward (in good deeds). Don't waste your time by regretting. This is also a trick of shaitan.

The pens are lifted, the ink has dried..
- 5 pillars of Islam.
- 6 pillars of Iman; one of them is believing in Qadr - divine destiny of Allah.
> Hadith: When Ibn Abbas R.A., cousin of Prophet alayhissalaam, was a young boy, he was told by the Prophet S.A.W. that, know if the whole world were to join hands together to benefit you, they wouldn't be able to benefit you except by what Allah ta'ala wrote for you; and if they joined together to harm, they wouldn't be able to harm you except by what Allah has ordained for you. The pens are lifted, the ink has dried on the pages of the Lawh-el-Mahfuz. (At Tirmidhi)
- Look at the story of Musa A.S. vs the nation of Pharoe; look at the story Ibrahim A.S. vs the fire.
> Trust Allah 100%. Allah will give you rizq like the birds.
-Did you see any birds that are engineers or doctors? They go out in the morning empty stomach and return full stomach.
-Rely only on Allah. Allah will give you rizq, no matter where you are, but look for barakah.
-Allah says your rizq is looking for you like death is looking for you. Nobody will die until Allah gives him full rizq and full time. (rizq - provision, time - lifespan)
> Allah says, some of your families and wives are enemies to you, because they are keeping you busy by getting rizq for them; which means you aren't getting time to get to Masjid and or do other good and mandatory deeds.
> Hadith: The strong believer is more beloved and better and more beloved to Allah than the weak believer.
- Strong in what?
- Knowledge, understanding, health, children, family, money, wealth, everything.
> Allah says: It may that you dislike a thing, which is good for you, and you like a thing which is bad for you. Allah knows and you do not know!

Qadr of Allah
Believing in the Qadr/divine destiny of Allah is a pillar of Iman.
Allah says: No calamity can befall a person except by the permission of Allah. Nothing can happen to you with the permission of Allah.
Prophet alayhissalaam says: When any calamity, hardship, sadness or grief befall the believers, Allah wipes out their sins.
We should try to have the patience of Prophet Ayyub alayhissalaam - sabr-e-Ayyub, i.e. accept the calamity believing that it's from Allah. During calamities, most of are not accepting them. Some of us that do accept them outwardly, many of them aren't happy internally. These are tests. Allah says, give glad tidings to those that are patient.
Imam: If you are satisified with what Allah gives you, you'd be the wealthiest of all people.
Question: Could you conclude that the calamities that befall you are due to the wrong way of life that you are living?
Answer: Could be, but if Allah ta'ala deals with us all like this, we'd be in big trouble, all of us are involved in sins. Though there are ayas and ahadith that mentions that sins prevent rizq. For example: because of your sins, Allah may stop you from reaching the masjid and joining the salah until after the Takbeer-e-Tahreema (when Imam starts the salah by saying Allahu Akbar) has been done. You just lost so much ajar/reward just by missing the Takbeer-e-Tahreema.
Prophet alayhissalam said: I want to live like a prophet; I don't want to be a king or such type of leaders. If I am hungry, I will ask Allah. If I am satisfied and I have food, I will be grateful to Allah.
You have will and Allah has will, but Allah's will is above your will. You can't blame Allah that since he has written in the Lawh Al‑Mahfooz, so and so will be in hellfire. No. Allah knows through his knowledge who's gonna end up where, but he gave everyone free will to choose either the right path or the wrong one. So, choose wisely.

Naja - How to survive in Day of Judgment
HADITH:
From Uqbah ibn Amir R.A.; he asked Prophet Muhammad sallallahu alayhi wasallam, what is 'Naja' - how to survive or how to be saved?
Prophet: Don't say anything bad. (Use your tongue for remembrance of Allah, don't use foul language, don't slander, don't lie, etc)
During the time of fitnah, best to stay home. Stay with the mu'minis. Don't just go out with anybody, sit with anybody, talk to anybody; no; this isn't appropriate for the Muslims.
Think about your sins, cry to Allah ta'ala for forgiveness. This is an-Naja; this is the way to save yourself.

Saddidu wa Qaribu wa Abshiru
Hadith: Saddidu wa Qaribu wa Abshiru... (and more)
Saddidu means look for the fruit of your good deeds. We are praying every day, giving sadaqah, doing Hajj, etc, why? What's the reason for this? Are just just doing all these ibadat as a habit?
We need to know the meaning of salah and sadaqah and Hajj and rest of the amal. Salah has a meaning of 'silah', which means connection. We are actively connecting to Allah, directly during our prayers 5 or more times a day. According to another hadith, it is like a Mi'raj of the Muminin to Allah. The moment you say Allahu Akbar, it's called Takbir Tahrima, which means you are putting the world and everything in it behind you and you are alone standing in front of Allah. So, we need to prepare our minds and our souls prior to salah so that we can establish a firm connection with Allah every time and thus our status and relationship with Allah can grow continuously.
Think of Sadaqah as giving away our sickness and sins. And put your hands below the receiver, because he/she is doing you a favor, not the other way around. See on the left; that's how you should offer sadaqah/charity to others and let the receiver's hands be on top of your hand. This is the etiquette of Islam; this is the beauty of Islam.
Hajj is supposed to make you divert your attachment to the world and worldly wealth and relationships. The poor and the rich are all together. The healthy and sick are all together. The black and the white are all together; everyone (male) is wearing 2 pieces of white plain cloth. You throw stones at the shayateen (devil's stones); it means you will not obey satan no more or follow his ways.
Qaribu means perfect your deeds; perfect your salah and jakah and rest of the amal. No one (but the prophets) is perfect, but we need to try our best.
Abshiru means give glad tidings and or think about the jazaa/rewards you will be getting; so be happy. Be happy when you are in the masjid for salah thinking about the reward. Be happy when you are giving sadaqah or doing any good deeds; knowing that Allah will reward you. Be excited and actively compete with other Muslims.
Even when all our amal are nearly perfectly, we can never go to Jannah/paradise without the mercy of Allah. All these good deeds are for the mercy of Allah. Once we are granted jannah, then our deeds will determine our levels there.
Mi'raj: Great journey of Prophet Muhammad S.A.W. when he was invited by Allah with the company of Angel Jibril alayhissalam from Mecca to Jerusalem, and then from there to beyond 7th heaven to meet Allah directly, on a Buraq (4 legged animal).

Rahman Vs. Rahim
Bismillahir Rahmanir Rahim
Rahman refers to Allah's mercy on everyone. He is merciful to everyone, Muslims and Non-Muslims in this world. That's why we see non Muslims too living their lives, eating, drinking; all provided to them by the mercy of Allah.
Raheem refers to Allah's mercy to Mu'minin /believers only. This is applicable here in this world and more importantly on the Day of Judgement, when Allah will be merciful to only the Muminin; non-Muslims will be be punished for their disbelief.
